Free Yoga Classes for Dallas Health Care Workers

The BKS Iyengar Yoga Studio of Dallas will be offering free Introductory to Level 1 Yoga classes for our Dallas health care workers.

What is Iyengar Yoga?

The Iyengar Yoga method utilizes props and modifications, allowing access for all ages, body types, people with different abilities and levels of conditioning. For instance, we use wooden bricks, straps, and blankets to help perform some of these poses. If you don’t have these props, no worries, there are a multitude of items in your home that are perfect substitutes such as a chair, stool, or household blankets. The practice of Iyengar Yoga will often result in eliminating aches and pains as well as improving posture. The poses taught during class allow students to progress surely and safely as they gain flexibility, strength, and sensitivity in mind, body, and spirit. The stillness of the poses provides an opportunity to focus inwardly on the breath. The close attention of the mind to body and breath enhances concentration, reduces stress, stabilizes the emotions, and allows for a sense of inner peace.

How to Access Free Yoga Classes

  • Log on to www.dallasiyengaryoga.com and register as a student.
  • Click the Schedule tab.
  • Select only Introductory or Intro/Level 1 classes.
  • Use the discount code Hero2020 during checkout.
