Personnel & Training

How do you know what training is required to conduct a research project? Are contract research personnel available for my project?

Training is required for all research personnel and specialized training may be required for certain research activities. There are also opportunities to utilize services of fully trained personnel to perform certain research activities for your study.

Adequate training for your study personnel is critical for compliance, as well as important for ensuring participant safety and scientific integrity of your research.

Required Training for Clinical Research

All clinical research personnel must complete required training before conducting a research study. The Human Research Protection Program has descriptions of types of training, links to the CITI program to complete training, and educational resources.

Personnel and Staffing Assistance

The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at UT Southwestern’s Office of Clinical Research can assist investigators with personnel needs such as research nurses and research coordinators, as well as access to inpatient facilities, nutrition services, phlebotomists, and other staffing needs.
