Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program Research and Scholarly Activities
UT Southwestern pediatric hospital medicine fellows have 32 weeks of dedicated time for scholarly activity. Over the course of the fellowship, each fellow develops a scholarly question aligned with their interests in pediatric hospital medicine, designs and conducts a study, analyzes the results, and presents findings at a regional or national conference, with the goal of completing a manuscript.
Health Services Research Academy
The Division's Health Services Research Academy, a partnership with Children's Hospital Association, offers a unique opportunity for fellows to engage in high-level outcomes and health services research. Through this program, fellows gain access to national databases, including the Pediatric Health Information System (PHIS), the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), Medicare claims data, and others, along with dedicated statistical support.
