Medical Toxicology Rotation Didactics

Over the course of the rotation, rotators will experience a curriculum through a variety of didactics, providing the building blocks for a career in medical toxicology.

Picture Project

Each week, rotators will be assigned a topic for their picture project to help us develop a library of images that pertain to medical toxicology to be used by Medical Toxicology staff, rotators, and others for educational purposes. These are to be presented on a weekly basis.

Toxic News Presentation

Each month, rotators will be assigned a toxic news article over which to provide a five- to 10- minute oral summary.

Journal Club Presentation

Each month, Medical Toxicology fellows will assign a journal article to the rotators. Rotators should review these journal articles and be prepared to present them thoroughly.

Rotator Final Presentations

The last week of the rotation, rotators will present an in-depth review of a key toxicology article, typically either a medical toxicology Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment article or a landmark article identified by our Medical Toxicology faculty.

Environmental Medicine Modules

The American College of Medical Toxicology and the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units are pleased to present a series of educational courses on contemporary issues in environmental toxicology and environmental health for both medical toxicology and pediatric rotations.

These modules have been created by leading authorities in the field of medical toxicology and pediatrics. Over the course of the rotations, rotators will complete and pass four modules of their choice.
