TARDIS Summer Research
We hope you and yours are doing as well as possible during this very sobering time.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of its duration, the TARDIS Summer Research Program has been canceled for Summer 2020. This decision aligns with the Office of Medical Student Research, which has similarly canceled the NIH/Stipend-supported component of the Medical Student Research Program for the summer 2020. These decisions were not made lightly, but out of concern for the health and safety of both UTSW students and their mentors during the ongoing pandemic.
Please stay tuned for updates regarding Summer 2021, where we hope to accept even more MS0, MS1 and MS2 students.
TARDIS will fund selected incoming and 1st year medical students to participate in the existing Summer Research Program. Aimed at increasing diversity in basic science research, this program is geared towards underrepresented minorities, and offers a competitive stipend, near-pear mentoring and the opportunity to network within the TARDIS community of physician-scientists and resident trainees.
