Online Training Course

Free CEU credits online – Transplant Services Center is offering a series of courses for funeral professionals. This series will explore basic knowledge and new developments in tissue and eye donation, and the implications for the funeral industry. This first offering, A Partnership for Vision,” focuses on cornea donation. It carries two CEUs through the Texas Funeral Service Commission, is free of charge for funeral professionals, and can be accessed with the directions below. We hope you find this to be a convenient, economical, and interesting way to meet your continuing education requirements. Feel free to share this information with others who may also need credits.

Instructions for Accessing and Completing the Course Online

If you are not yet registered, register now.

Please Note: The registration will be good until the end of the current month. Your computer must be connected to a printer when you complete the course so you can print out your CEU certificate – you cannot go back in later to print it!

Information Required on the Log on Screen

  • User Name (no spaces!)
  • Password
  • Confirm Password
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • (Company is Optional)
  • (Empl ID: leave blank)
  • You are: select either Funeral Director or Embalmer at the bottom of the list
  • Self-Registering: select “Yes”
  • UT Southwestern Contact Person: put “Transplant Services Center”

Click “Save” on the bottom right corner of page to open “My Learning Profile.”

Click the “plus sign” next to “Funeral Homes and Eye Banks” for the list of courses (only one available currently).

Click on the “Funeral Homes and Eye Banks Working Together” to open the course.

Note directions in yellow; Click “Click here to launch the course...”

“Course Completion and Attestation” > Click in the box, note warning in red > click “Submit”

Click “You may now click here to exit the course”

The screen now goes back to the course launch page. Click the “play” button at the top of the screen for “Certificate of Completion”

Print icon is located on the right side of the page. Be sure to print your certificate prior to exiting the program!
