Postdoc in the Elizabeth Goldsmith Lab

We seek a passionate and self-motivated, writing-friendly researcher with background in biochemistry and structural biology to study WNK kinases with us. The Goldsmith Lab discovered that WNK kinases that are genetically linked to hypertension function as intracellular pressure sensors. We aim to determine molecular mechanism of pressure sensing process with X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM and other biochemical and biophysical techniques. We collaborate with the chemist -- Uttam Tambar at UTSW -- in search for small molecules that would modulate WNK kinases activity.
