COVID-19 Update: Information and resources can be found here.

Visiting Medical Students

In light of the impact of COVID19 pandemic, the needs of UT Southwestern students to complete delayed core clinical rotations and recommendations from the Coalition for Physician Accountability released 5/11/20, the UT Southwestern visiting student program has been suspended through at least 8/23/20. This is subject to further extension. As circumstances evolve, we will provide further updates here about when visiting student rotations will resume. In accordance with national recommendations, once visiting student rotations do resume, only students from medical schools in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana will be considered and only for exposure to specialties not available at their home institution. Please note that acceptance of students from certain regions may also be impacted by the latest CDC recommendations and UT Southwestern Travel Restrictions.
