About the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program
The UT Southwestern Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program was accredited by the ACGME in 1999.
Since 2004, the program has trained pediatric emergency physicians who now practice in academic medical centers, children's hospitals, and community settings across the country.
Graduates have pursued diverse careers in:
- Clinical leadership
- Education
- Research
- Quality improvement
- Ultrasound
- Emergency medical services
- Transport medicine
- Other areas of pediatric emergency medicine
Several fellows choose to remain in or return to Dallas as faculty members. Fellows and alumni have also demonstrated strong academic achievement, including:
- Multiple national presentations at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting
- The 2018 Ludwig Seidel Award
- A 2018 Best Fellow Teaching Award
- A 2022 Emergi-Quiz Honorable Mention
- 2017 PEMPix finalist selections
