How to Apply

Application Deadline: October 1

The UT Southwestern Simulation-Based Medical Education Fellowship Program accepts one fellow per year. Applications submitted after October 1st will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Application Process

Fellowship application requirements include completion of the Department application form.

In addition, applicants must provide:

• United States Medical Licensing Examination  exams (Steps 1-3)
• Current Curriculum Vitae
• Personal statement
• Recent headshot
• Reference letters (3 minimum, one of which must be from a program director)
• Copy of board certificates (if any)
• Medical School certificate
• Medical licenses (if any)

Important Dates

Applications are typically accepted annually from July through early October. The application timeline for this fellowship is:

• June
  Application submission window opens
• Mid-August through October
  Virtual interviews
• October 1
  Application submission deadline
• July 1
  Fellowship begins
