Sample Preparation and Submission
Consultation with Dr. Baniasadi is recommended prior to designing your experiment and preparing your samples.
Protocols for the extraction of polar metabolites from a variety of biological samples, including tissue (tumors/liver/brain/fat), bodily fluids (serum/urine/CSF), adherent cell lines, and suspension cells are available.
Submitting Samples
Please follow the following steps for submitting your samples:
Consultation, receiving protocol and extracting metabolites
- Please send an Email to Dr. Baniasadi with a brief description of your metabolomics project.
- Request a metabolite extraction protocol for sample preparation from the core if needed.
- Schedule a meeting with Dr. Baniasadi to discuss the protocol in detail.
- Extract metabolites based on the sent protocol/your own protocol.
Fill out submission form, submit iLab request, and label your samples
- Fill out the Sample Submission Form.
- Send an Email with the completed submission form to Dr. Baniasadi.
- Submit a service request via ilab.
- Send an Email to Dr. Baniasadi and request a service number.
- Label all your LC-MS vials with the provided service number.
Drop off/ship your samples
- Drop off your sample based on drop off instructions (internal users).
- For external customers, please ship your samples to the following address and send the tracking number to:
