I love my work in adolescent medicine and hope fellows leave this program feeling the same sense of purpose and fulfillment. I was first introduced to the field during residency, where I found that caring for adolescents, during a time when many lifelong health behaviors take shape, felt especially meaningful. Adolescent medicine offers the opportunity to support young people as they navigate important decisions about their health, relationships, and well-being. I believe every adolescent should have a trusted physician who can provide thoughtful, developmentally appropriate care during this critical stage. It is a privilege (and a lot of fun) to work with adolescents and their families, and just as rewarding to train future physicians to become skilled, compassionate leaders in adolescent health."
