Holidays
UT Southwestern has established a set paid holiday schedule, so employees don't have to wait for the annual holiday schedule to be posted to plan their time off. All full-time employees receive three floating holidays each year (part-time employees receive a prorated amount)*. These will be loaded Sept. 1 and will be available for immediate use, with supervisor pre-approval.
*This policy applies to all employees holding a position of at least 0.5 FTE (full-time equivalent), except for employees appointed to positions for which student status is a condition of employment, or temporary and PRN positions.

What happens if a holiday falls on a weekend?
- Holidays that fall on Saturday are observed on Friday.
- Holidays that fall on Sunday are observed on Monday.
