Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program Research and Scholarly Activities

Fellows in UT Southwestern's Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program are required to complete a scholarly project resulting in a work product to be eligible for the American Board of Pediatrics exam.

Fellows may participate in scholarly work in quality improvement or clinical and translational research. They receive structured mentorship from faculty and support from research staff. Fellows present their work at scientific meetings, including:

  • American College of Rheumatology Convergence
  • Pediatric Rheumatology Symposium
  • Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Annual Scientific Meeting

Research mentorship and facilities across UT Southwestern Medical Center are available. UT Southwestern is a large Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance site.

Fellows can also engage in advanced training at UT Southwestern through the Peter O'Donnell Jr. School of Public Health, the Clinical and Translational Science Award Program, and the Quality Improvement Boot Camp.
