Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program
UT Southwestern Medical Center's Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program prepares future leaders in pediatric rheumatology through rigorous clinical training, scholarship, and mentorship.
Our three-year program provides comprehensive exposure to the diagnosis and management of a wide range of pediatric rheumatic diseases, emphasizing multidisciplinary, patient-centered care, compassionate advocacy, and the advancement of new knowledge through research.
Fellows will:
- Build confidence and independence in clinical decision‑making
- Gain experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- Develop skills to effectively advocate for children with rheumatic disease and their families
- Acquire practical experience teaching learners at multiple levels
- Receive structured mentorship to support scholarly interests and career goals
- Graduate well prepared for academic or clinical careers
- Be equipped to advance care, education, and research in pediatric rheumatology
Duration of Fellowship
- The Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship is a three-year ACGME-accredited training program.
- In partnership with the Division of Rheumatic Disease in the Department of Internal Medicine, we offer combined fellowship training in adult and pediatric rheumatology. Fellows spend two focused years of training in each Division, with the opportunity for adult and pediatric continuity clinics throughout the four years of training.
