Melinda Cory, M.D.

Director, Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program

Thank you for your interest in our fellowship program. As Fellowship Director, I am proud of the training experience our fellows receive within our world-class Heart Center at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Fellows gain exceptional clinical exposure with high surgical and procedural volumes, a large and diverse patient population, and faculty providing highly specialized therapies. Even more importantly, our fellows are vital to our mission of providing excellent cardiac care, and we are deeply committed to the growth of each fellow as they progress through the fellowship.

Our goal is to develop outstanding, well-rounded pediatric cardiologists who excel as clinicians, educators, and researchers and will ultimately become future leaders in our field. I hope you will consider applying to our program and invite you to reach out with any questions."

Testimonials

Monisha Narayanan, M.D.

“After my pediatric residency at UTSW/Children’s Dallas, choosing to stay on for my pediatric cardiology fellowship was an easy decision. I have had unique opportunities to participate in single ventricle VAD management, organ procurements, myocardial recovery assessments, and robust cardiomyopathy clinics that are helping prepare me for my future practice. Additionally, I feel that I have been able to develop my autonomy and clinical decision-making as a general cardiologist through our robust ACCU, CVICU, and consult services.”

Headshot of Drishti Tolani M.D.

“It’s a very supportive environment, there’s always someone there to help if you need anything. Secondly, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to pathology and learning opportunities.”

Matthew Mosgrove, M.D.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity I've had to do my fellowship training at UTSW. The patient population we serve is diverse, complex, and helps lay a foundation in pediatric cardiology. My co-fellows are amazing and foster a collaborative, supportive environment both in and out of the hospital. There is opportunity for exposure to several sub-specialties, and the faculty in these fields are approachable and sincerely engaged in fellow education. Our program leadership is consistently supportive and invested in fellows as individuals. Pediatric cardiology remains a vast and humbling field, but I am excited to launch my career with the support of an exceptional fellowship program.”
