Children’s Medical Center Dallas
Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the primary pediatric teaching hospital, is the principal site for clinical training of our fellows. Directly adjacent to the UT Southwestern Medical Center campus, this hospital is consistently ranked as one of the nation's finest children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
It is licensed for 616 beds and features a:
- 44-bed pediatric intensive care unit
- 32-bed pediatric cardiac intensive care unit
- 90-bed neonatal intensive care unit
- 44-bed acute care cardiology unit
We have a large outpatient clinic seeing an average of 38 outpatients daily, as well as multiple outreach clinics.
The Heart Center at Children’s Medical Center Dallas includes:
- Three dedicated cardiac operating rooms
- Two cardiac catheterization laboratories
- A hybrid cath-MRI suite
- Additional MRI facilities
- Echocardiography examination rooms
- A sedation room
- A fetal cardiology clinic
- An exercise lab
- Electrocardiography work areas
- Outpatient clinic facilities
These facilities are located in one central area.
Parkland Memorial Hospital and Clements University Hospital
Our fellows also provide clinical care at Parkland Memorial Hospital and William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital for newborn consults and to provide care for adults with congenital heart disease. Around 12,000 infants are born each year at Parkland, which has a 96-bed neonatal intensive care unit and 106 well newborn infant-mother rooms, providing a rich newborn consultation experience for our fellows.
