The Healing Arts: Resident Literary Journal

The resident humanities journal, The Healing Arts, is published annually by UT Southwestern’s Internal Medicine Department and features contributions from faculty, fellows, and residents.  Initially conceptualized during the COVID pandemic, the journal aspires to promote creative expression, provide a space for reflection, and foster a culture of growth by sharing experiences in our Internal Medicine program.  

The journal’s editorial board includes residents and fellows who collaborate on each step of the publication process and sponsor literary journal club sessions for faculty, fellows, and residents to attend throughout the year. Each fall, the current editorial board solicits applications and welcomes new members to guide the journal’s future growth.
