Tissue culture can be conducted in the investigator's laboratory or the HTS laboratory. If long-term cell culture work is to be conducted in the HTS lab, a daily fee of $5 will be assessed for use of HTS pipettes, tubes, gloves, paper towels, and alcohol. The investigator's laboratory should supply its own plates or dishes, media, bottles, and any filter units needed.
We have captured a snapshot (4/1/2019) of additional fees and costs for using other instruments and resources in the HTS Core in the following file: Fees and costs associated with HTS resources. Please note that this is a snapshot and that these figures may have changed since 4/1/2019. For the most up-to-date fees and costs, please look for these details under our Core in iLab, which is available to Principal Investigators via the UT Southwestern intranet, or contact Dr. Bruce Posner, Director of the HTS Core. If you are interested in formulating a budget for a screening project as part of a grant application and/or estimating the cost of a project with us, please contact Dr. Posner. He can put together a cost estimate that will reflect both your needs and an efficient use of the resources and the expertise of the Core.
