Child Neurology
The Division of Child Neurology, part of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, provides academic practice in the areas of patient care, teaching, and research. The faculty includes a diverse mix of people who bring unique skills and experiences to share with patients and medical students.
Highlights of our Division include:
- Our Gene Therapy Program is one of the leading programs in the country. This bench-to-bedside, seamless pipeline brings life-altering gene therapies to numerous sick children.
- We have one of the largest pediatric neurology training programs in the nation.
- We have one of the largest pediatric faculty in the nation, with over 40 faculty across five campuses covering every facet of child neurology with substantial depth (multiple faculty for each subspecialty).
- We are the pediatric stroke referral center for North Texas.
- We offer the most advanced care in pediatric epilepsy, including epilepsy surgery, and in pediatric neuromuscular neurology, including its most advanced gene therapies.
