PAWS Trial: Polymer-Enhanced Anticancer Therapy for Mammary Tumor Wellness Study
Fully grant-funded cowpea mosaic virus (CPMV) nanoparticles study for mammary gland carcinoma tumors
- Inclusion: ≥6 months of age, histologically confirmed mammary gland carcinoma (any grade, high preference for distant or locally advanced, unresectable and bulky diseases), no concurrent treatments, ≥5cm tumors, adequate organ and marrow function
- Exclusion: Active infection or uncontrolled co-morbidity, unable to receive repeat injections or tumor sampling. Also enrolling tumor types: sarcomas, thyroid tumors and melanomas (emphasizing MG carcinoma right now due to grant-funded nature).
Fully grant-funded CPMV polymer study for mammary gland carcinoma tumors
- Inclusion: ≥6 months of age, histologically confirmed mammary gland carcinoma (any grade, high preference for distant or locally advanced, unresectable and bulky diseases), no concurrent treatments, ≥5cm tumors, adequate organ and marrow function
- Exclusion: Active infection or uncontrolled co-morbidity, unable to receive repeat injections or tumor sampling
COMPANION Trial: COMbined Precision Ablation and Immune Oncology for Melanoma
Fully grant-funded study (including sx subsidies) for histotripsy (HT) HIFU + aCD40 or HT + CMP (1mg v. 2mg) for (prefer oral) melanomas
- Inclusion: ≥6 months of age, histologically confirmed stage I or II measurable melanoma tumor, localized disease (no metastasis to the lungs or surrounding structures), ≤4cm tumor size, no concurrent treatments, adequate organ function
- Exclusion: Active infection or uncontrolled co-morbidity, poor repeat anesthesia candidates, tumors unable to receive histotripsy, repeat injections and repeat tumor sampling, evidence of pulmonary and/or local metastasis
ORBIT Trial: Optimized Radiation and Brain Immunotherapy for Tumors
Fully grant funded RT PULSAR +/- CAR study for glioma brain tumors
- Inclusion: ≥6 months of age, medium- to large-sized glioma cancer confirmed by histology or MRI, adequate organ function, no concurrent treatments, has not received radiation therapy for their cancer
- Exclusion: Poor repeat anesthesia candidates, uncontrolled co-morbidity, has received radiation for their glioma cancer or unable to receive radiation therapy, taking antioxidants on the trial (must be stopped before first treatment)
TARGET Trial: Targeted Advanced Radiosurgery for Glioma and Meningioma Evaluation and Treatment
Fully grant-funded SRT v. SRT + Ferumoxytol study for glioma brain tumor
- Inclusion: ≥ 6 months of age, smaller sized glioma cancer confirmed by histology or MRI, adequate organ function, no concurrent treatments, has not received radiation therapy for their cancer, patient weighs less than 26.9kg
- Exclusion: poor repeat anesthesia candidates, uncontrolled co-morbidity, has received radiation for their glioma cancer or unable to receive radiation therapy, taking antioxidants on the trial (must be stopped before first treatment)
*Potential for meningioma brain tumors to be enrolled
