Resources for Owners and Referring Veterinarians

Appointments and Billing

We are committed to ensuring swift enrollment in our clinical trials. Once the inclusion criteria for a specific trial are met, our team will schedule your visit. All treatments will be administered at the Companion Animal Program, conveniently located in Dallas.

To support families throughout the process, a dedicated team member will manage billing and payment matters. Once your pet’s trial designation has been determined, we will provide a thorough explanation of the financial responsibilities related to treatment. In some cases, an upfront deposit may be required, with the remaining balance due upon completion. Please note that we do not accept pet insurance.

We kindly request a minimum 24-hour notice for any cancellations. Failure to provide proper notice may result in an appointment fee charged to the owner. For questions regarding financial policies, please contact our finance team.

Visits are available by appointment only. Please call 214-645-6221 to schedule an appointment.

Novel Drug Combinations and Immunotherapy Guidelines

The Companion Animal Program is proud to offer novel drug combinations that involve the use of highly cytotoxic drugs and immunotherapy designed to be an agent-activating anticancer immunity in patients. These therapies are administered at our state-of-the-art facility under the supervision of board-certified clinicians, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.

Our clinical team will provide you with guidelines to adhere to the trial protocols. The drugs can be administered through various methods, including intravenous injections, oral medications, or other routes.

For the safety of all patients, we kindly request that pets returning home on the same day avoid contact with pregnant or immunocompromised patients. Additionally, handling pet waste should be done with protective gloves, and mobility around the home should be limited during the treatment period.

While each patient will receive a customized treatment protocol, we anticipate one to 20 visits based on clinical outcomes. Throughout the trial, pets may continue to receive routine veterinary care, including vaccinations and other necessary treatments. Our clinical team is available to provide consultations to assist with case management at referral centers.

How to Make Referral Contacts

We strive to make the referral and consultation process as seamless and supportive as possible. Clients may choose to contact our clinic directly or request that their referring veterinarian submit a referral form on their behalf. When using our referral service for clinical trial enrollment, we kindly ask that the submitted information includes a comprehensive case summary, details of prior treatments, and the results of relevant diagnostic tests.

To begin the referral process, please complete the VROC referral form or contact our team for assistance.
