General and Community Pediatrics Clinical Affairs

The Division of General and Community Pediatrics provides outpatient primary care to children and adolescents (birth to age 18) at the Children's Health Pediatric Primary Care Dallas campus.
We treat a medically and socially complex mix of patients at the clinic. At this site, faculty members also train UT Southwestern pediatrics, internal medicine-pediatrics, pediatric neurology, and triple-board (pediatrics, psychiatry, and child psychology) residents in the provision of outpatient primary care.
Patients receive:
- Preventive health services
- Treatment for acute illnesses
- Long-term management of chronic conditions such as:
- Asthma
- Obesity
- Cardiometabolic disease risk
- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
