Sun Yat-sen University

Sun Yat-sen University is a preeminent research, academic, and cultural center and the premier location for talent development in South China. Under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Sun Yat-sen University has developed into a modern comprehensive university that enjoys a reputation as a top-tier university nationally and a renowned university internationally. In 2011, UT Southwestern and Sun Yat-sen agreed through an affiliation agreement to collaborate to train Chinese researchers over a period of two years in the basic sciences at UT Southwestern. The goal of this initiative is to for Chinese researchers to expand Since, UT Southwestern has hosted three cohorts of 10 scholars and hosted nurses as well for observership and training in the hospital setting. We look forward to expanding our collaboration over the next few years.

University of Cape Town

The University of Cape Town is South Africa’s oldest university and a leading teaching and research institution in Africa. UCT also has more than 80 specialist research units that provide supervision for postgraduate work and is home to more than a third of South Africa's A-rated researchers – academics who are considered world leaders in their fields. UT Southwestern Medical Center and the faculty of health sciences of the University of Cape Town in South Africa signed an affiliation agreement to collaborate on faculty and student exchanges, joint research and training activities, and other educational opportunities. Since, several medical students from UT Southwestern have clinical rotations at Groote Schuur Hospital.

Bangalore Baptist Hospital

Bangalore Baptist Hospital is a 340 bed multispecialty mission hospital serving all socio-economic strata of the society. BBH is the first mission hospital in India to be accredited with National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories. Dr. Rebekah Naylor, a former UT Southwestern surgeon, is one of the lead physicians who provided her expertise to expand the hospital and the services it provided in the 1990s. The Office of Global Health has supported hundreds of medical students to conduct clinical rotations at BBH since 2011.
