Match Day 2024 at UT Southwestern specialty list

Four years of hard work and fond memories are leading up to Match Day, the milestone moment when graduating medical students of the Class of 2024 find out where they will continue their medical careers as newly minted M.D.s.

On Friday, March 15, UT Southwestern Medical School’s Class of 2024 gathered to experience Match Day 2024.

Four distinguished UT Southwestern scientists who are members of the National Academies inspired postdoctoral researchers by sharing their own experiences as postdocs recently, offering words of encouragement for working through challenging times and providing insight for paths toward breakthrough discoveries.

At UT Southwestern’s annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on Saturday, April 26, Sherri Wood Cooper, Manager of Volunteer Services, announced the number of volunteers (1,800) and the total hours donated during 2024.

Jiang He, M.D., M.S., Ph.D., an international leader in epidemiology and chronic disease prevention, has begun his role as Chair of the newly created Epidemiology Department in UT Southwestern’s Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health (OSPH).
