On-Campus Child Care Centers
The Callier Child Development Program is an on-campus child development program that accepts children between 6 weeks and 6 years old. First priority for enrollment goes to children of UT Southwestern faculty, postdoctoral scholars, clinical residents, students, and staff. There is a waiting list. Decisions are usually made in April about who will be accepted for the upcoming August start date. To apply, call 214-905-3094 or visit their education office or website.
First Step Learning Centre is located in the Paul M. Bass Administrative and Clinical Center on the North Campus. UT Southwestern faculty, postdoctoral scholars, clinical residents, students, and staff have priority for the care of a certain number of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. UT Southwestern Back-Up Care Advantage Program is a new benefit for full-time benefit eligible employees. Provides low-cost care options whenever you experience a temporary breakdown in your normal care plans and need to be at work. Back-up care is provided for family members of all ages, from infants through elders, including those with special needs. Rosewood Academy in Dallas is situated in the heart of Dallas' Medical District, just a few minutes’ walk from UT Southwestern's North Campus.
Home care providers are typically mothers who will watch up to six children at their own home instead of an institutional setting. There is an online listing of registered home child care providers in the Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, Murphy, Plano, Richardson, Rockwall, Rowlett, Sachse, and Wylie areas.

Children’s Choice Learning Center at Medical City Dallas is a full-service center that offers an array of programs. These include early care and education programs, private kindergarten, Sniffles & Snuggles®, a get well suite for mildly ill children, and Choice4Care® Backup care.
