We need your partnership!

Attacks from cybercriminals often start with a phishing email. Malicious links (URLs) and attachments found in emails can lead you to dangerous sites, putting your data, computer, and the UTSW network at risk. Click carefully to better protect UTSW and our patients.

  1. Review emails before clicking a link or downloading an attachment. Examine and validate emails that have an “External Mail” header. Hover over all email URL links to view the true website domain. Be wary of attachments. Examine the message content for spelling errors and inconsistencies.

  2. Report suspected phishing emails to Phishing Response or use the “Report Message” button through Microsoft Outlook.
