Prepare for Graduate Programs in Health and Science (For College Students)

Explore Scholar supports undergraduate and early post-baccalaureate students who are interested in health, science, research, and public health professions. Through mentorship and workshops, scholars will learn tools to develop a competitive application to medical, graduate, and health professions schools.

Research and Health Careers Conference

The Research and Health Careers Conference features a comprehensive exploration of careers encompassing UT Southwestern’s four schools: the Medical School, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Professions, and O'Donnell School of Public Health. Participants learn how to be successful in applying to these schools, including courses to take and extracurriculars to pursue. Our faculty, staff, and current students provide essential insights and guidance.

Attendees engage in presentations and workshops tailored to their career aspirations, whether pursuing a degree in public health, medicine, health professions such as physician assistant or physical therapy, or biomedical research with a focus on a Ph.D. career.
