Spark interest in STEM
Explore Junior focuses on encouraging curiosity, building confidence, and helping young learners see themselves in science, research, health care, and public health careers. We emphasize fun, interactive STEM activities, exploration, and early identity formation in STEM.
The program introduces elementary and middle school students to STEM fields through:
- Hands-on activities at our Simulation Center: Work with a high-fidelity mannequin, learn CPR, use a laparoscope, and more
- Interactive demonstrations
- Immersive on-campus experiences

- Elementary and middle school students interested in learning about public health, healthcare, and science
- Location: UT Southwestern Medical Center campus and on-site at schools
