Application Process & Program Statistics
Thank you for your interest in our Radiation Oncology Clinical Medical Physics Residency Program. All resident positions have been filled for the July 1, 2025, start date. We will begin accepting applications for the July 1, 2026, starting on August 1, 2025, and the deadline to apply is September 30, 2025. UTSW Medical Physics Residency Application
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must have a strong background in basic physics demonstrated either by an undergraduate or graduate degree in physics, or by a degree in an engineering discipline or another of the physical sciences and with coursework that is the equivalent of a minor in physics (i.e., one that includes at least three upper-level undergraduate physics courses that would be required for a physics major).
- Applicants must also have a Ph.D. degree in medical physics, physics, or a related field.
- Applicants who do not have a CAMPEP-accredited graduate degree must have completed a CAMPEP certificate program prior to entry into the program.
- Applicants must be qualified to receive a temporary license through the Texas Medical Board.
- Applicants must submit their most recent CV, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, a personal statement, and at least three letters of recommendation.
