Orthopaedics Summer Research Program
This 10-week program is intended to provide the highest quality experience for medical school students pursuing interests in Orthopaedic research. Upon being accepted into the program, students will be matched by their interests with a mentor and project.
Students will actively participate in clinical or laboratory research studies with the opportunity to author or co-author publications. They will be asked to attend Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Chief’s Conferences, anatomy labs, skills training, and Sawbones Labs.
Application Deadline: February 15th (Annually)
While the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery does not provide a stipend, acceptance in our program supports the faculty mentor requirement for the UT Southwestern Summer Research Program, which does have a stipend.
