APPFA Accreditation

UT Southwestern’s APP Fellowship Program has crossed a milestone that is both hard-won and deeply energizing: we have officially earned APPFA Accreditation with Distinction, the highest honor granted by the Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Association.

Five of our specialty tracks rose to this national benchmark of excellence:

  • Urology
  • Adult Psychiatry

This recognition reflects a meticulous external review of how we teach, how we support, and how we shape early-career APPs into confident, capable clinicians. It affirms that our fellowship structure, our outcomes, and our learner experience stand among the strongest in the country.

Accreditation with Distinction amplifies UTSW’s reputation as a home for advanced practice excellence. It signals to our learners, and the broader healthcare community, that we are committed to training clinicians who thrive in complexity, think critically, and deliver care with skill and heart.
