Education and Training
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers a variety of educational opportunities, including daily conferences and weekly resident conferences featuring case presentations and faculty-directed conferences. Mortality and morbidity conferences and journal club are held monthly, and Grand Rounds are held quarterly.
Conferences have been developed on a two-year curriculum to assure that all aspects of orthopaedic surgery are presented and are geared toward medical student, resident, and practicing physician education. Specific schedules and additional information on all these options are available to current UTSW students and faculty on MyUTSW, UT Southwestern’s intranet.
