Neuroradiologist Raj to participate in faculty development program
Dr. Karuna Raj has been chosen by the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) to participate in the 2019 AUR Acade,oc Faculty Development Program during the organization's 67th annual meeting.
Dr. Raj, Assistant Professor of Radiology and a member of the Abdominal Imaging Division, was recognized by the AUR as a "promising junior radiology faculty member" who could benefit from the one-day program of education and networking.
During the program, Dr. Raj will focus on how to excel at research, attain and maintain academic productivity, be of service to the radiology organization, be an effective mentee, and work with a department chair to advance career objectives.
The program will be held in Baltimore on Friday, April 12, 2019.
Dr. Raj joined the faculty in 2017. She recently received a grant from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers to develop interactive, web-based learning modules to increase fourth-year medical students' knowledge of appropriate imaging utilization.
