Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship
UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship is a three-year ACGME-accredited program approved for four fellows in a 2-1-1 rotating format designed to train obstetrician-gynecologists for productive careers in gynecologic oncology.
Fellows must complete all three years of the program to fulfill the fellowship requirements and be eligible for board certification with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Why Train at UT Southwestern
Our Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program prioritizes comprehensive patient care – training in advanced surgical techniques and the medical management of all gynecologic cancers – and multidisciplinary collaboration with experts in other specialties.
UT Southwestern Gynecologic Oncology fellows train at UT Southwestern Medical Center and its affiliated institutions. Our fellows participate in the care of more than 650 patients with newly diagnosed gynecologic malignancies each year with continued growth expected year over year.

Our Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program not only boasts a 100% pass rate on board exams, but our graduates have taken their invaluable experience at UT Southwestern and gone on to excel in various leadership positions and rewarding careers in the field, whether in research, private practice, community hospital settings, or academic health systems.
Our graduates have also received career development grants, including the K08 and K12 by the National Institutes of Health, providing support and training in their pursuit of independent investigative roles.
