Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Facilities

The clinical aspect of the UT Southwestern Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program is remarkable for its diversity and exposure to high-volume patient care at both UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Health clinical sites.

Fellows provide inpatient and outpatient services for both health systems, supervised by the gynecologic oncology faculty. Both health systems have state-of-the-art hospitals and offer fellows a unique diversity of pathology and case complexity.

UT Southwestern Medical Center

William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital

Designed to optimize both trainee education and patient comfort, William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital has 751 patient rooms and is ranked the No. 1 hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth and one of the top 20 hospitals for cancer care in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

Clements University Hospital offers patients:

  • A comprehensive cancer program accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
  • 45 surgical suites with state-of-the-art equipment and videoconferencing
  • Specialized facilities for oncologic surgery and patient-centered care

Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center

As an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center and a member of the elite National Comprehensive Cancer Network, Simmons Cancer Center offers cancer care initiatives that advance the treatment and prevention of cancer through:

  • Innovative basic science and translational research across more than a dozen major cancer care programs
  • Access to leading-edge clinical trials and biomedical innovations
  • New adaptive therapy technology and highly personalized treatments in radiation oncology

Parkland Health

Parkland Memorial Hospital, one of the nation's largest county hospitals with 862 single-patient rooms, is the primary teaching hospital for UT Southwestern and serves as Dallas County's public hospital. Parkland provides:

Parkland's Women and Infants' Specialty Health (WISH) Clinic houses the Gynecology Specialty Clinic, which includes gynecologic oncology care and has dedicated infusion suites for gynecologic patients.
