Dallas Asylum Clinic

PHR - Physicians for Human Rights

Dallas Asylum Clinic

The Dallas Asylum Clinic is a student-led initiative in partnership with the national organization Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) that provides free, forensic medical and psychological evaluations for asylum seekers to strengthen their legal cases, while providing students with invaluable clinical, advocacy, and leadership experience. Asylum seekers are a critically underserved population in the DFW area, and, to win their case, they must provide evidence of the persecution they fled. Our aim is to meet that gap in care by providing a crucial piece of evidence through evaluations conducted by volunteer clinicians with the assistance of medical students.
