Parking at UT Southwestern and Southwestern Medical District

UT Southwestern Medical Center provides valet and self-parking options for most clinical buildings on campus; other lots are designated for general campus visitor parking. Parking facilities are also available near affiliated hospitals in the Southwestern Medical District. Areas shaded yellow on the Campus Map are designated for visitor parking.

Rates for UT Southwestern-operated campus parking areas vary but do not exceed $10. Patients should note the location of their physician’s office or diagnostic center in advance to determine the best parking option. Other campus visitors may wish to get specific parking instructions from their campus host. Rates for other Medical District facilities are listed below.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available at the main entrances of the buildings listed below. Hours and rates are posted at the valet stations in front of each building. Validation is required to receive the patient rate.

Patient & Visitor Valet Parking Fee (UTSW)

  • $10 for daily access with patient validation.
  • $5 at buildings without self-parking.

Patient & Visitor Valet Parking Coupon Books(UTSW)

  • Five coupons for $35. May be purchased at valet stations.
  • Patients who valet park and then drive to another UT Southwestern facility that day may valet park free at the second location by presenting their first valet ticket receipt.

Rates for UTSW self-parking do not exceed $5. Patients should note the location of their physician’s office or diagnostic center in advance to determine the best parking option

Tower Garage (Medical District Drive at Tex Oak Drive). Patients visiting physicians in the Aston Building will receive a voucher for free parking in the Tower Garage. Aston Express shuttle available from Tower Garage for Aston patients.
Children’s Medical Center Dallas (CM)
Garage self-parking in Emergency and Hospital Visitor Parking Garages. Free during the first hour and gradually increases from $2–$7.
Cancer Care Outpatient Building (NM)
Garage self-parking. $5 fee. Voucher, cash, or debit/credit card at Park & Pay station in lobby/level 2.
Health Professions Building (V)
Garage self-parking. $5 fee. Debit/credit card at exit. Monday–Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Outpatient Building (WA)

Parkland Memorial Hospital Emergency Department (PM)
Emergency Department parking available 24/7 for $5 fee in lot next to Emergency Department. Cash, check, or credit card.

Garage self-parking adjacent to hospital. $5 fee; open 24/7; cash, check, or credit card.

Park & Stay Pay Stations

Several parking areas are controlled by “Park & Pay Stations,” which are electronic vending machines located on the main floor of the parking garage. The parking ticket is fed into the machine, the rate is displayed, and payment is made by voucher, cash, or debit/credit card. The parking ticket is returned, and then is inserted at the exit gate.
