Robert W. Parkey, M.D., Professor of Radiology, whose scientific discoveries helped develop nuclear scanning techniques to diagnose, localize, and measure acute heart attacks noninvasively, has died. He was 84.

The 16th Annual UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers (SWAT) Reception and Awards ceremony was held in November to honor UTSW faculty members for teaching excellence in 2021 and 2022 as well as to welcome newly elected SWAT members.

Dallas businessman Don Kivowitz and his wife, Stacey, recently made a gift to endow the Donald and Stacey Kivowitz Fund for the Harry M. Spence, M.D. Visiting Professorship in Urology.
