With COVID-19 infections falling, this year’s graduation ceremony for UT Southwestern Medical School will return to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center after a two-year hiatus and will host U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson as its commencement speaker. The ceremony for this year’s 211 Medical School graduates is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12.

Dr. David A. Minna, Professor of Internal Medicine in the Rheumatic Diseases Division at UT Southwestern and a pioneer in incorporating musculoskeletal ultrasound into the specialty’s clinical practice, passed away Nov. 5 after an extended battle with cancer. He was 73.

Medical student awarded AOA Kuckein Research Fellowship - CT Plus - UT Southwestern

Ahneesh Mohanty’s first experience with UT Southwestern came as a young patient hospitalized for Kawasaki disease at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, where he received follow-up care for several years. “Because of this experience, I innately knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue medicine,” he said.
