South Campus transportation affected around former Parkland site

Two upcoming closures on UT Southwestern’s South Campus will affect employee access around and through the former Parkland Memorial Hospital.

The driveway behind the Meadows MRI building will close on June 13. Some campus shuttle routes are subject to change.

The pedestrian walkway through the former Parkland Memorial Hospital that links UTSW’s South Campus will close on July 10.

The closures are part of the demolition of the old facility that is slated to begin later this year.

Access between the James W. Aston Ambulatory Care Center and Charles Sprague Building and Zale Lipshy Pavilion on the South Campus will be by shuttle bus and pedestrian walkways outside the demolition zone. UTSW police also will provide security escorts for employees upon request by calling 214-648-8311.

The Mike Myers Sky Bridge that spans Harry Hines Boulevard to connect the new Parkland Memorial Hospital to the Sprague Building will remain open.
