Ben Reynolds, Ph.D.

Dr. Reynolds leads a centralized office that works closely with UT Southwestern faculty, staff, and administration to cultivate systems of continuous quality improvement that support university and programmatic accreditation, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and reporting requirements, and empower academic leaders with the data they need to help the institution flourish. He has more than 15 years of experience in higher education, with significant accomplishments as a teacher, researcher, and administrator. He is deeply committed to supporting an environment where excellent teaching and innovative research produce transformative experiences for students and long-term benefits to the institution and community. Before coming to UT Southwestern, Dr. Reynolds held various leadership positions at the Medical University of South Carolina, including most recently Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Dr. Reynolds holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.Div. from Duke University, and a B.A. from Wofford College.

Meghan supports the development and deployment of UT Southwestern's institutional effectiveness processes, including accreditation and assessment. Her work on the OIEAA team helps keep UTSW in compliance with programmatic and institutional regulatory standards and ensures that academic and operational programs are not resting on their laurels, but pushing continually to improve. She is passionate about using the tools of Institutional Research as a catalyst for experimentation – and ultimately, change – to meaningfully and materially support student success and institutional excellence. Meghan is deeply involved in Texas's institutional research community through TAIR (Texas Association for Institutional Research) and has served two terms on the Executive Committee as the organization's Secretary.
