The Office of Faculty Development, in partnership with Southwestern Academy of Teachers (SWAT), encourage you to enjoy the new EDU (Educator Development at UTSW) course!
EDU provides faculty members at all levels multiple pearls of wisdom, knowledge, and helpful tips to become better educators, scholars, and academic medicine professionals.
What is EDU?
The EDU course contains 10 “sound bite” videos, with a total course duration of less than 3 hours, covering a range of critical topics presented by other successful UT Southwestern faculty. EDU will be offered annually with a set of new topics to target the needs of our various faculty members.

- Participants who complete all 10 video lessons will receive a certificate of completion endorsed by the Office of Faculty Development and the Southwestern Academy of Teachers (SWAT) group and will also be recognized at the annual SWAT meeting.
- Certificates may also be included on your CV.
- Gain added knowledge and skills to apply to your practice.
Requirements

- Each video lesson within the EDU course is optional.
- Participants are not obligated to complete any assignments.
- We encourage you to apply the concepts learned into your field.
- There is no time limit for completing the entire course.
Duration

- EDU 2025 videos range from approximately 10 minutes to 19 minutes.
- All ten videos of the EDU 2025 course have a combined duration of 2 hours and 16 minutes to complete.

- Log-in to Taleo Learn (VPN or campus connection required) with your UT Southwestern username and password.
- In the "Find a training" search box, type "Faculty Development EDU 2025" or "Faculty Development EDU 2024."
- Once the course opens, at the top of the page select the green plus symbol to "Register for this Learning Plan."
