Annual DOCS Dinner

October 23, 2025 - Sir Stephen O’Rahilly, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Medicine at Cambridge University, visited the campus on October 22nd and 23rd as an invited speaker for the UT Southwestern Lecture Series on Obesity, Metabolism and Diabetes. He attended the annual DOCS dinner at the home of Helen Hobbs together with the current and former DOCS and selected faculty members. After dinner Rodney Infante, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and member of the Center for Human Nutrition, interviewed Dr. O’Rahilly, focusing on the decisions he made in his early career. Dr. O’Rahilly has recently elucidated the role of GDF15 during pregnancy.
