Get a Head Start on Your Science Courses!

Would you like to get a head start on the science courses you’ll be taking in the fall? STARS Science Camps will be offered during the summer of 2027 and provide students with an exciting opportunity to explore science through hands-on learning and engaging activities.

Tentative 2027 Summer Camp lineup includes:

Middle School Science Camp

This camp is for rising 8th grade (current 7th grade) students who will be taking 8th grade science in the fall of 2027.

Biology Camp

Designed for rising 9th grade (current 8th grade) students who have not yet taken a high school biology course.

Chemistry Camp

Designed for rising 10th grade (current 9th grade) students who have not yet taken a high school chemistry course.

Physics Camp

Designed for rising 11th grade (current 10th grade) students who have not yet taken a high school physics course.

Anatomy & Physiology Camp

Designed for rising 11th and 12th grade (current 10th and 11th grade) students who have not previously taken a high school Anatomy & Physiology course.

Biotechnology Camp

Designed for rising 12th grade and just graduated high school students (current 11th and 12th grade) who have not previously taken a high school Biotechnology course.

All camps will be held in person on the UT Southwestern campus. The specific location for each camp will be provided to students who are selected to attend.

Throughout the camps, students will participate in laboratory experiments, classroom activities, and tours, as well as attend lectures featuring UT Southwestern staff and faculty guest speakers. These experiences will give students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of science while gaining a firsthand look at the exciting work taking place at UT Southwestern.
