Science Outreach Programs

A number of STARS programs have been developed to help teachers enrich their science curriculum without having to travel to the UT Southwestern Medical Center campus. Please email us at if you are interested in taking advantage of any of these free programs.

Science Fair Judges

Faculty, staff, and students are recruited to judge local science fairs. No more than two judges can be provided for any single school event. All written requests must be received Friday, December 11. For more information, please call us at 214-648-9505 or STARSmail@UTSouthwestern.edu.

Science Ambassadors

Volunteers travel to area schools to speak on various topics related to biomedical research and careers.

Distance Learning Initiative

Two-way video conferencing equipment is used to set up a dialogue between students in their classrooms and experts on the UT Southwestern campus.

The STARS Program is here to help. Just give us a call and we'll get the information you need. We can send photocopies of journal articles or other information to you via fax, email, or mail. Contact the STARS Office at 214-648-9505 to take advantage of this opportunity.
