Wooldridge Appointed to Leadership Role

Assistant professor and breast surgical oncologist Rachel Wooldridge, M.D., has been appointed co-medical director of the the UT Southwestern Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center Genetic Counseling Program. She and co-medical director Nisa Kubiliun, M.D., will provide clinical oversight for the program and help develop new services.

Dr. Wooldridge was also the recipient of the very first UT Southwestern Patient and Family Recognition Award in 2018. She is a member of the Cancer Committee at Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. Nationally, she has lectured on topics including the genetics of breast cancer and breast cancer in pregnancy.

Dr. Wooldridge’s clinical research interests include high-risk breast cancer, surgical options after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and the role of MRI in breast cancer.
