Gloria Chang, M.D., won the best poster award in the upper GI, colorectal, and sarcoma virtual grand rounds at the annual meeting of the Society of Surgical Oncology on March 9-12. Gilbert Murimwa, M.D., won the award for best poster about disparities at the Society of Surgical Oncology annual meeting on March 9-12 for Area Deprivation Index Predicts Survival and Access to Specialized Care in Pancreatic Cancer (coauthors: Thornton M, Karalis JD, Porembka MR, Augustine M, Wang S, Mansour J, Zeh H, Yopp A, Polanco P).

Madhuri Nagaraj, M.D., won second place in an essay competition sponsored by the Resident and Associate Society of the American College of Surgeons for her article, Competency-Based Training: Is There Any Other Way?
