Melissa Kirkwood, M.D., and her team have developed and patented an OR facial shield that reduced eye/head radiation exposure by 71%-85%, as reported in the Journal of Vascular Surgery and in an interview with Dr. Kirkwood in Vascular Specialist.

Caroline Park, M.D., served as the moderator for “Clinical/Outcomes: Trauma/Critical Care Oral Presentations” at the annual meeting of the Academic Surgical Congress on February 2 in Orlando, Florida.

Hillary Prince, M.D., was a discussant for Firearm Injury Surveillance Discrepancies: A Call for a National Firearm Injury Registry at the annual meeting of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma on January 13 in Austin, Texas.
