Kayla Colvill, M.D.

Kayla Colvill, M.D. received a Bachelor of Science and graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2013. She then obtained her medical degree in 2017 from McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and is now joining the University of Texas Southwestern as an Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellow. She is expected to complete fellowship training in the summer of 2024.

Andrew Shubin, M.D., Ph.D.

Andrew Shubin is originally from Portland, OR. He attended the University of Washington where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering in 2009. He completed an M.D./Ph.D. at the University of Rochester in 2018 where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Andrew finished his general surgery residency training at UT Southwestern in 2023. In addition to his clinical interests in abdominal transplant, his research interests include the implementation of normothermic machine perfusion in liver transplantation and transplant oncology. His research work won the Trinkle-Banowsky abstract award from the Texas Transplant Society in 2022. He is expected to complete fellowship training in the summer of 2025.

Kayla Colvill, M.D.

Meshka Anderson, M.D. received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Economics from the University of South Florida (summa cum laude) in 2014. He completed his medical degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2018 and proceeded to complete his General Surgery Residency at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina in 2023. Dr. Anderson is currently a Fellow in Abdominal Organ Transplantation at UT Southwestern with anticipated completion in 2025.
